Lots of outings

Since our last update we’ve had plenty of outings!

On the 20th June no less than 9 horses/ponies from the yard took part in the East Essex Hunt Fun Ride, firstly 2 ponies made their way round a 3.5mile ride with Rosie’s eldest daughter Eliza and her friend Jess in the saddles, back to the yard for a quick turn around and 7 horses returned to complete 12.5miles! All the horses were great and it was a really fun day.

A couple of our 3yos have been in and started the breaking process, they are now being ridden away.

Mo (Willy’s full brother)

Chandra Goodes 4yo Smokey has been for a stay and learnt to jump 👍

We went to our first show after lockdown at Boyton Hall, it was Willy’s first competitive showjumping and he was a very good boy, just having a pole in both his rounds, Smudge hadn’t lost any of his form and won both his classes!🥇🥇

We then had a brilliant day XC schooling at Stratford hills with Smudge, Willy and Smokey!

This weekend just gone (19.7.20) Willy (homebred 4yo) went to his first ode at Little Downham, he was quite unbelievable really, he lead from start to finish by more than 4 penalties finishing on his dressage score of 26.3 👌😍

Then yesterday was Smudge’s turn with our first BS outing again. Mr Consistent jumped clear both 1.05 and Newcomers to bring home the money with a 2nd and 3rd, even some profit! 🤩

It’s been pretty full on for us all ever since we’ve been allowed to get going again and it doesn’t stop here with another outing for both horses this weekend, then maybe we’ll have a few quieter weeks, particularly Willy who will definitely be taking it easy for a while 🥰
